I can definately recommend Harmony Acupuncture for any woman preparing to give birth. I recently used Rachel's services when pregnant with my third child. She was recommended to me as I was 41 and the doctor wanted me to give birth on time. I also wanted to experience an epidural free birth. I started going to Rachel at 36 weeks. After each session I felt my body opening up more. I could really feel the difference when I was doing the spinning baby exercises. The next morning after my third session on week 39 I started gently laboring at home. The baby almost came in the car on the way to the hospital. I had a quick and straight forward delivery without an epidural which is what I wanted. I have two daughters now and I will definately share with them the benefits of acupuncture in pregnancy along with homeopathy. Thank you Rachel for your time, care and expertise. I went to Rachel for acupuncture recently in the weeks leading up to the birth of our first child. I was told great things about acupuncture and it's benefits in preparing the cervix and the body for labour. Rachel's acupuncture therapy lived up to all the hype and more. I did 2 sessions weekly in the weeks leading up to my due date, and despite going in for induction a few days before my due date with a big baby I was able to have a very natural vaginal birth. Having been to Rachel in 2022 to turn my breech baby and get ready for labour, I knew I had to return again for this baby. With a busy life I only reached out to Rachel at 39 weeks, but she fit me in and in three sessions we worked through some grief from the previous year and started preparing for labour. Rachel worked her magic and I went into labour the night after our third session at 40+2 and had my second boy that morning. I started acupuncture with Rachel at Harmony Clinic in Douglas in June 2025, initially to support my overall health and optimise my fertility. Before beginning treatment, I believed my cycle was healthy—but through acupuncture, I quickly realised there was room for improvement. I felt the benefits almost immediately. My periods became noticeably healthier and I experienced a real shift in my overall wellbeing. I felt calmer, more in tune with my body, and much more balanced month to month. After 5-6 months, I was incredibly grateful to conceive naturally and am now 5 months pregnant. Rachel has continued to support me throughout my pregnancy and will continue to do so right up to my baby’s birth. The treatment I’ve been receiving has really helped me feel supported and well throughout. Acupuncture with Rachel has undoubtedly played a significant role in this journey. After ~18 months of facial pain, sinus, and jaw issues and many ENT specialist appointments with no findings/improvements. I started going to see Rachel for acupuncture. Total game changer in terms of getting out of a particularly long spell of poor health. My sinus and congestion issues were quickly addressed (I wish I went 18 months earlier!) which reduced my symptoms to jaw/tension issues which we have since been working on and have also greatly improved. I could not recommend Rachel enough. After 4 losses and many different Consultant opinions with it being put down to “ bad luck” Rachel was the first person to look at me as a whole. Rachel is an absolute miracle worker. Not only did she help me prepare for birth in the weeks leading up to my due date she also contributed to me going into labour! Rachel is amazing. After a failed round of IVF, I went to see her and we agreed because of my age at the time (43) I probably would not get pregnant naturally but we would get me ready for our next round of IVF. We did regular acupuncture, some dietary changes and supplements and 7 weeks later I was pregnant naturally. Long overdue review here. I started going to Rachel in 2023 when myself and my husband decided to try for our first child. We weren't having fertility issues but I had heard a lot of people going to fertility specialist acupunture when having issues so I thought why not get ahead of it and make sure we have best chance of a healthy pregnancy quickly. Rachel helped me track my cycle, support my fertility and destress from work and I was pregnant within 3 months. We then got the surprise we were having twins! Rachel was the biggest support for my whole pregnancy. It would be too long to write everything but I credit Rachel's support and advice with helping me carry my twins to term safely. When we decided to go for a third, I of course headed back in to Rachel and I was pregnant first try and again she was the single biggest physical and mental support throughout pregnancy and preparing for labour. This isnt just acupunture, Rachel uses Chinese and functional medicine and looks at everything holistically. My husband and I both attended Rachel for the past 6 months for fertility advice and acupuncture. Her advice re: diet, supplements, further investigations and treatments was invaluable.
